Tonight was a very special night, i went to the Rochdale Rugby Club for the presentation for the Rochdale Sports Awards 2012/13. I was nominated by Yannic Green from Team Evolution for Sports Acheiver of the year. Tonight i had to go on stage and the winner was presented with a lovley plack and the invertation to go on to the Grater Manchester area awards. There was lots of really excellent sports & sports acheiver people there. It felt an honour to be there it was amazing.
The winner of my section was a lady called Ruth Walczak she is an amazing rower!
I had my picture taken with guest speakers Sophie Cox an Olympic British Judo Player, Derek Derenalagi a British Paralympic athlete and former solder and the Mayor of Rochdale.
To end the amazing evening we had yummy cup cakes :-)
